Luminas: Reviewing the Energy Medicine Pain Relief Patch

Luminas is a pain relief patch that claims to relieve pain without harsh drugs.

By applying the Luminas patch daily, you can purportedly flood your body with “unique energy medicine” technology, enjoying 24-hour pain relief at the site with no side effects.

Does Luminas really work as advertised? How does Luminas work? What’s in the Luminas pain relief patch? Find out everything you need to know about Luminas and how it works today in our review.

What is Luminas?

Luminas is a pain relief patch that claims to treat pain and inflammation at the source. After applying the patch, pain and inflammation purportedly dissipate “within minutes.”

The wearable patches radiate fast-acting, long-lasting pain relief with no drugs, chemicals, or known side effects. The makers of Luminas seem to suggest their patch is superior to conventional pain medication because it doesn’t have harsh side effects, addiction issues, or other problems: just effective pain relief.

Obviously, plenty of other products claim to provide effective, hassle-free pain relief. What makes Luminas different? Does Luminas really work? Or is this another over-hyped pain relief solution? Let’s take a closer look at how Luminas works.

How Does Luminas Work?

Luminas is a pain relief patch that claims to offer “a totally different approach to treating pain and inflammation.” The patch starts to work within minutes to “dissipate” pain and inflammation wherever you apply it on your body.

Here’s how the makers of Luminas describe the patch:

“The wearable patches radiate fast acting, long lasting pain relief without any drugs, chemicals, or known side effects.”

The company adds that Luminas skin patches are “a scientific revolution” because they use quantum physics to target pain at the source.

Typically, other pain relief solutions do not use quantum physics or anything close to quantum physicals to relieve pain; instead, they use numbing ingredients like menthol or anti-inflammatories like turmeric. So how does Luminas use quantum physics? Here’s how the company describes its solution:

“Using a breakthrough method based on quantum physics, each patch is charged with the power of more than 200 natural remedies known to reduce the most common causes of pain and inflammation.”

The skin patch is purportedly infused with magnesium, turmeric, ginger, black pepper extract, and vitamin D, among “hundreds more” ingredients.

Quantum physics, for those out of the loop, is a field of physics theory involving atoms and subatomic particles. It’s the study of matter and energy, including how matter and energy work at the subatomic level.

There’s zero evidence suggesting Luminas uses “quantum physics” to relieve pain. In fact, the entire Luminas website is filled with bizarre claims about the scientific evidence of its formula and how it works.

Luminas Energy Medicine Technology

The makers of Luminas not only claim to use quantum physics. They also claim to use energy medicine technology. Here’s how the company describes its energy medicine technology:

“Our proprietary technology allows us to capture these unique electric field signatures from 100s of natural remedies used to relieve pain and inflammation. These unique signatures are then modulated onto a resonant carrier wave allowing us to transfer these unique signatures onto the patch.”

Again, Luminas isn’t saying anything here: the company is simply spouting scientific-sounding gibberish at you. The company hopes you’re not smart enough to understand they’re talking gibberish.

Overall, the Luminas website and other company marketing are filled with bizarre claims, nonsensical scientific explanations, and vague claims about health benefits.

Luminas Ingredients

The makers of Luminas claim their skin patch contains 200+ natural remedies known to reduce pain and inflammation. When a single product claims to contain 200+ natural remedies, it seems unlikely it contains a significant amount of any single remedy – just trace amounts of various ingredients.

In any case, the Luminas website does not disclose the list of all 200+ natural remedies in Luminas. Instead, the company lists just the following ingredients:

  • Magnesium
  • Turmeric
  • Arnica
  • B vitamins
  • Bioperine (black pepper extract)
  • Ginger
  • Vitamin D

The formula also contains dozens of other ingredients, some of which are linked to pain relief while others are not, including white willow park, chamomile, chondroitin, clove, cordyceps, curcumin, frankincense, ginseng, glutathione, guggulu hops, lavender, motherwort, vinpocetine, polyphenols, olive leaf extract, and rosemary extract, among others.

There’s no information about the dosage of any specific ingredient. It’s possible Luminas contains just a few molecules of each active ingredient. Based on the lack of evidence, it seems unlikely Luminas contains a significant dose of any specific ingredient.

Luminas Features & Benefits

The makers of Luminas advertise all of the following features and benefits:

Used by the World’s Top Athletes: Luminas claims to have partnered with “world class athletes and doctors”, and the company claims many of these doctors and athletes use and recommend the Luminas skin patch to reduce pain and inflammation, speed up recovery, and maintain peak physical performance, among other benefits. The Luminas skin patch website only mentions one “world class athlete and doctor” involved with the company: Dr. Craig Davies, a professional golf tour doctor.

Tested and Proven: The makers of Luminas claim to have conducted “hundreds of tests” to prove the skin patch reduces pain and inflammation. However, the company has not published any of these tests online, and the tests have not appeared in any major medical journal or scientific publication.

24 Hour Pain Relief: By applying the Luminas skin patch, you can enjoy pain relief in the targeted area for 24 hours.

Reduce Pain and Inflammation in Minutes: Luminas claims to reduce pain and inflammation within minutes.

200+ Natural Remedies: Each Luminas skin patch is purportedly infused with 200+ natural remedies.

No Side Effects: The makers of Luminas claim their patch is associated with no known side effects because there are no drugs or chemicals in the formula.

FDA Registered: Luminas has registered its pain relief patches with the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and the company’s skin patches are classified as a Class I Medical Device.

Scientific Evidence for Luminas

The Luminas website vaguely tosses around words like “energy”, “quantum physics”, and “24 hour pain relief”, although the company provides no concrete information beyond that.

The company also claims to have “conducted hundreds of tests” to verify the safety and efficacy of its skin patches, although the company does not disclose the results of any of those tests online through the Luminas website.

In fact, the Luminas website does not list any scientific references or studies verifying the skin patch works as advertised. As far as we can tell, Luminas has not gone through any clinical trials proving its effectiveness.

We can find just one study on Luminas’s skin patches, a clinical thermography study performed in Irvine, California. In that study, patients were examined with digital infrared thermal cameras before and after receiving a Luminas skin patch. The makers of Luminas linked the heat of the skin with inflammation. By lowering the temperature of the skin, Luminas purportedly lowered inflammation.

This single study on Luminas has serious problems. First, the only evidence we can find is a three-page report online at LuminasPatches.com. Second, the study only appeared to involve six patients. Each patient applied the skin patch, and Luminas took before-and-after images of the patient’s body using a thermal camera. The thermal camera showed the Luminas skin patch lowered the temperature of the skin in that region – but that doesn’t mean it lowered inflammation or pain.

Overall, there’s limited evidence Luminas works as advertised to significantly reduce pain or inflammation in any meaningful way.
